When Brian Barkowski, then Vice President of Brother Rice High School, contacted the dudes, the school was investigating more portable replacement options for an old heavy video production switcher.
Once Upon a Time...
With BRHS wanting to transition from a physically-heavy production workflow built around an old heavy switcher and into a more mobile solution, the goal was to develop a lighter solution that allowed the school to easily travel to other campuses and provide coverage of their games and activities. Given the technology at the time, Kris and John showed them the vMix-based solution and demonstrated how it could help enable their larger, yet mobile workflow. Once the team at BRHS understood the price of a comparable vMix solution over a direct replacement of their old switcher, the decision was a "no-brainer" and the BRHS was able to secure funding from donors for their new, traveling video production system.
